SCITECH morning

On Wednesday 23rd January, Chestnut class visited Plymouth University for a ‘SCITECH’ morning. There was a showcase of science and technology – which was very hands on. The children were able to play, program, test and then chat to the experts about a variety of new technologies and everyone enjoyed themselves very much.

Stuart Raine from the Exeter Synagogue visited Chestnut class on Thursday 22nd November, he brought in artefacts from Exeter synagogue and showed the children how a priest should handle the Torah.  He also explained about Kosher food and also chose some pupils to re-enact a Jewish wedding ceremony.

Chestnut class spent a fantastic day with artist Iola Weir, making giraffe and zebra headdresses in readiness for their performance of ‘Tuishi Pamoja’.
