Year Groups: Year 5 and Year 6
Class Information
Mr Keirle teaches in Chestnut Monday – Friday.
Chestnut Class is also supported throughout the week by Mrs Jacobs.
Chestnut will be doing PE on Mondays and Wednesdays. They should come to school wearing their PE kit on both days and will stay in their PE kit all day.
Homework
Children will be set weekly homework and they will always be expected to read daily. The children have all been sent home with reading records so these should be used to record their reading. Homework will be uploaded to Seesaw.’
Reading
In reading we will continue to use Accelerated Reader (AR), which assesses reading levels through vocabulary and comprehension. Children have been given Reading Record books for them/you to record and make notes in. We will also add book quiz and diagnostic scores in here for you to see. Children need to have access to their reading record all the time so please ensure it comes to school everyday.
