Oak Class and some of the children in Chestnut Class enjoyed their last forest sessions of the term this week. We finished making bows and arrows and practiced firing as far as we could. It was easy to spot which children have done archery with Mr. Tyrell in the past!
It was a pleasure to have drier, warmer days – so much easier to walk across the fields when the mud has gone. And we celebrated with a mix of activities chosen by the children; weaving, mini fires, archery, games, dam building and smores.
Up until the Easter holidays, children from Chestnut Class, who haven’t been out to forest school yet, will have four sessions. Each session will be a full day, so please make sure your child brings water, snacks and a packed lunch and has enough clothing to keep warm and dry. Thank you!
