Our Reception children have been learning to write using lots of different resources and inspirations.
All the children in the school are learning how to write their letters in a cursive style, which will help children with their joined writing and presentation.
To help the Reception children learn these tricky letter formations, our amazing Year 5 buddies have been showing them how to write these letters with chalk on the playground.
Our focus has been on starting each letter with a ‘whoosh’, which is the building blocks of joined up handwriting.
We are so lucky to have such kind, helpful older children to help!
