‘Supertato’ and ‘Evil Pea’ visit Willow Class!

June 20, 2016Jo Hussain

This week we have themed our learning around the story ‘Supertato’ by Sue Hendra. We received a letter from the Evil pea to say he had kidnapped the carrots and had frozen them in a bowl of water! As a class we had to write a letter to plan their release!

We have been designing scenes and writing our own speech bubbles. Using real potatoes, we designed and created our own Supertato’s. We also loved creating some art using potato printing!

In maths we have been looking at one more and one less. Some children have been estimating and checking our answers using potatoes!

Next week the children will be writing about their own superhero mission, to save the vegetables and defeat the ‘Evil Pea’. I wonder what ‘Evil Pea’ will do next?
