Oak Class visited Haldon Forest for a day, as part of their science work on survival and nutrition. Before they went, children designed ‘healthy’ survival lunches – packed lunches that were well balanced and contained a good range of nutrients.
They all had a fabulous day, which included making dens, building a huge camp fire, toasting marshmallows and heating up hot chocolate on the fire.
After the trip the children were all exhausted but raving about what a lovely time they had.
They were all reminded of what an amazing resource we have on our doorstep.
Well done Oak Class!
