On Monday 30th January 2017, Mike Farley, a Henry VIII impersonator came to visit Kenton Primary School.
He worked with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 to teach them all about life in Tudor times. The children learnt about how the Tudors came to power as well as learning about Tudor food, hygiene (or lack of) and remedies for common ailments.
The children discovered what life would have been like for a King at court including holding banquets, hobbies that they may have had and sports such as jousting.
It was fantastic when the children had the opportunity to compete against each other in a jousting tournament. The girls were thrilled when they won against the boys!
