Forest School has been very busy of late with the children showing amazing creativity in their woodland explorations. We have; made new swings, built more dens, crafted sticky weed crowns, mixed up mud pies, experimented with ropes and pulleys, woven God’s Eyes, cooked bread, sparked little fires, got messy with clay and so much more!
Reception and Year One children will visit the woods for the next four-week block of time. The trees have changed so much since our winter sessions – let’s see how many creatures we can spot hiding there. Who knows, there might even be a Gruffalo lurking?!
“Must we always teach our children with books? Let them look at the mountains and the stars up above. Let them look at the beauty of the waters and the trees and flowers on earth. They will then begin to think, and to think is the beginning of a real education.” ~ David Polis
