DLP Cross Country 2017

February 24, 2017Jo Hussain

Schools from across the Dawlish Learning Partnership met on Thursday 23rd February to compete in the annual DLP Cross country run.

Runners were split into teams of children from years 3 & 4, who completed one lap of the course and teams of children from years 5 & 6 ran an extended route.

Thanks to all the parents who came to support their children and school and to the many who volunteered as marshals to keep everyone on track.

All the runners who completed the course received a certificate and a medal was presented to the first boy and girl runner to cross the line from each race. Congratulations to Thomas and Isla from the year 3/4 race and Sam and Layla in the year 5/6 race on this achievement.

Points were also awarded to each runner and Cockwood Primary School were presented with the DLP Cross Country Cup for the third year running!

A special mention also goes to four pupils from the Federation who placed as follows in the races:

Year 3/4 Race – Freddie 8th & Max 9th
Year 5/6 Race – Jacob 5th & Jack 8th

Well done to all the children who took part!
