Oak class took part in a reconstruction relay and had to pretend they were entering Tutankhamun’s tomb for the very first time, just like Howard Carter. The children had to go into the ‘tomb’ and had 10 seconds to look at what they found inside and then had to go back out and draw what they saw. The next person in their team then looked and added to their pictures. As a team, the children then recreated the 4 pictures they found in the tomb. The pictures Oak looked at were taken from the British Musuem. The children then talked about what they knew about the items and took some guesses on what they might be. Then they found out they were Tutankhamun’s death mask, deconstructed chariots, game of senet and an Egyptian bed and then found out some information about each item. Keep up the great work Oak!
