Exeter Food Bank

October 23, 2022Gemma Sandercock

Exeter Food Bank

The children have collected various items of food at our harvest festival and this has been donated to the Exeter Food Bank.  Terry from the food bank came into school to tell use about the work that they do.

Thank you to everyone who donated food at our harvest festival on Monday.  Mrs Hillard took the food to Exeter Food bank and it weighed a total of 81kg.

A Thank you from Terry at Exeter Food Bank.

‘Amazing result!

That was a tremendous Harvest effort from the children and parents at Kenton School.

81kg is a lot of food which my Wednesday sorting team will be dealing with today – they always enjoy having more rather than less food to sort… You have shown the true meaning of Harvest which is, of course, being thankful, but also SHARING what we have with others less fortunate.

A big, big thank you to your school families who have certainly stepped up to the challenge of these difficult times.
