To kick-start our writing week, the children were visited by a range of animals including a tenrec, barn owl, gecko, giant millipede and several snakes!
They learned about where the different animals originally came from and if they were endangered or not. They also discovered that the Lesser Tenrec was more closely related to an elephant than a hedgehog!
The children all had the opportunity to touch the animals and ask questions. They will be using this knowledge to link in to the story telling they heard last week before creating their own animal tales.
